Printing and Saving documents obtained from the ATS Website.
Saving and printing documents from the ATS Website can be done in many ways. This page will explain the most commom ways to do both.
Saving Documents
Saving documents from the ATS Website is usefull if you wish to keep a local copy of the document for future reference, or in some cases editing the document on your computer. Here are the steps to follow to save the various files that we host.
- Image Files - Image files are automatically displayed in a printer friendly format within your web browser, however clicking the File menu and selecting Save As will save more than just the image in question. The quickest way to save images is to right click the image in question within your browser, and select "Save Picture As". Depending on your browser, it could possibly say "Save Image As" instead. After selecting the save option from the right click menu, you will be presented with a "Save As" window that will let you set the location and name of the file you wish to save.
- Non Image Files - The ATS document database could contain any number of file types, and depending on your computer you could get a few different results. Basically though, with a non image file it may or may not appear directly in your web browser. If it does appear in the browser (For example, Excell files, Word Documents and PDF files) to save the file you can click the "File" menu in the browser and select "Save As". If your browser does not support the displaying of a file that you have attempted to download, it will automatically prompt you to save the file.
Printing Documents
- Image Files - When the image is displayed in your web browser, simply click the "File" menu, and select "Print".
- Non Image Files - To print or open files that are not images you will need to have the file opened in your Web Browser, or the program associated with the file. If the file does not open in the web browser, then you will need to save the file to your hard drive, and double click it. After double clicking it the appropriate program should open the file. If it does not open, you will then need to determine which program is usually used to open the file in question. To determine the type of file, right click the file and select "Properties" from the popup menu. In there you will find an "Extension". Read below for a quick list of known extensions and the programs that open them.
- XLS - Microsoft Excel file.
- DOC- Microsoft Word file.
- PDF - Adobe Acrobat file.
